Shonda has been a pharmacist since 1999. She is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy with a D.Ph. She took part in an internship with the National Community Pharmacists Association in Washington D.C. during the summer of 1998; out of that internship she has opened the OK Wellness Center. In 2001, Shonda was presented the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award by DuPont Pharmaceuticals, an award which is presented to one pharmacist per state each year.
